I See You, I Hear You, I Understand You

Whenever I talk to someone in a mixed faith marriage I think:

I see you.

I hear you.

I understand you.

Even if they have a big smile on their face and tell me they are fine, I know it isn't always easy.  I know the pain, the worry, the resentment, the uncertainty, the disconnect.  

I know it is hard to accept the reality that things have not gone the way you thought they would.  It is hard to think about it let alone talk about it.
